New Tablet Apps Will Streamline Business Processes in Weight Watchers
Meeting Locations
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Kony,
Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced it
has been selected by Weight
Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE: WTW), the world's leading
provider of weight management services, to provide a platform for a
mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) application in its stores and meeting rooms.
To simplify the capture and access of member details from meetings,
Weight Watchers will launch a new tablet application for its service
providers. Weight Watchers selected Kony for its cloud-based platform
that will easily integrate with existing member databases and support
access across multiple tablets. The intuitive tablet application will
improve efficiencies and provide new capabilities in Weight Watchers
meeting locations – from retail stores to meetings conducted on-site
through employers.
“We are committed to improving our ability to capture, analyze and use
data to serve our members better,” said Loïc Vienne, Vice President of
Enterprise Systems. “In partnership with Kony, we will introduce a
simple and intuitive interface for staff that will also deliver the
enterprise-class capabilities needed to support the demands of the
healthcare market. The combination will not only allow us to further
integrate the Weight Watchers digital and meeting room experience, but
also more easily capture detailed member information to enhance overall
reporting, which is critical to our healthcare and corporate clients.”
“At Kony we are committed to helping organizations around the globe
better leverage the power and impact of mobile applications to improve
their business processes,” said Sam Lakkundi, chief customer officer for
Kony, Inc. “The Weight Watchers decision to upgrade to a mobile
point-of-sale application is one we are pleased to be able to support.
Our deep history working with leading global healthcare brands to
uncover new revenue streams and increase business efficiency via mobile
solutions makes us well positioned to help Weight Watchers maximize
their return on investment. We believe the new application will be a
win-win for Weight Watchers as it will help improve the experience for
both its service providers and the members.”
